Project Clean & Green gives each City zone an assigned spring collection period for extra household items and bagged yard debris. Dates and accepted material differ from ordinary collection.
Project Clean & Green is assigned by zone
For 2026, City crews served one zone each week from April 20 through June 1 and collected up to 6 cubic yards per property. Look up the assigned day each spring because dates change annually.
Place accepted items at the normal garbage collection point by 7 a.m. on the assigned day. Allow through the following business day for crews to finish.
Prepare yard debris correctly
Project Clean & Green is the City’s annual curbside collection for garden and yard debris in brown paper yard-waste bags. Plastic bags are not accepted. Brush follows its own size and placement rules.
Some items need another route
Appliances, televisions and other electronics, construction debris, paint, and grass clippings are not part of the spring program. Search the disposal guide before setting out anything unusual.
Seasonal services restart
- Brush collection requests are available from April through November.
- City Drop-Off Centers change to six-day summer hours in April.
- Street sweeping and neighborhood cleanup activity increase as weather allows.

Is Project Clean & Green the same day citywide?
No. The City assigns collection by zone. Look up the current year’s date for your address.
Can I use plastic bags for spring yard debris?
No. Use brown paper yard-waste bags for accepted garden and yard debris.
Can electronics go out for Clean & Green?
No. Televisions and other electronics need an approved recycling or drop-off route.
