Put it in the green garbage cart
Smoke detectors may go in the green cart, or you can ask the manufacturer about a return program.
What to do
- Remove replaceable batteries and dispose of them according to battery type.
- Use a manufacturer return program if available, or place the detector in the green cart.
Keep in mind
MMSD Home HazMat does not accept smoke detectors.
