Put it in the blue recycling cart
Empty plastic bottles and containers marked #1, #2, or #5 belong loose in the blue cart.
What to do
- Empty and rinse the container.
- Put the cap back on.
- Place it loose in the blue cart.
- Plastic drinking cups are accepted too. Put their lids and straws in the trash.
- Bulky plastics such as 5-gallon buckets, laundry baskets, and cat litter buckets can go in the blue cart or to a drop-off center.
Keep in mind
Plastic bags, wrap, foam, utensils, and straws do not belong in curbside recycling.
